Focused ultrasound provides a scalpel-free approach to treat several women’s health conditions.

The technology is available in the US and around the world to treat symptomatic uterine fibroids without surgery, allowing women to preserve their uterus, avoid complications of surgery and reduce their recovery time.

Focused ultrasound is also used in Europe to treat adenomyosis, a condition in which tissue that usually lines the uterus grows into the muscular wall of the uterus, causing pain and bleeding.

Focused ultrasound is approved in Europe and/or Asia to treat benign breast growths (fibroadenomas) as well as cancerous tumors in the breast. There are also clinical trials using focused ultrasound to treat breast cancer and fibroadenomas.
