Abstract

Our overarching hypothesis is that FUS applied to the primary motor cortex can either stimulate or inhibit motor function, whereby a transition zone exists between excitation and inhibition. This transition takes place when varying one or both of the exposure parameters (intensity and pulse duration that, ultimately determine thresholds for achieving FUS mediated neuromodulation (FUSmN).
