Neal Kassell Presents the Foundation’s Collaboration Model at Israel BrainTech 2015

Joining global thought leaders and directors of major brain initiatives, Chairman Neal F. Kassell, MD, presented the Foundation’s collaborative research model at Israel BrainTech this month in Tel Aviv.

Israel Brain TechnologiesBrainTech 2015 convenes international neuroscientists, industry leaders, investors, and government officials to “explore challenges, discover promising projects, secure partnerships, and accelerate brain technology.” One goal is to address each stage of technological innovation from research through commercialization and facilitate global collaboration that speeds progress.

Dr. Kassell spoke on the Foundation’s unique philanthropic model as a driver of collaboration to advance a nascent field of medicine. He emphasized that innovation can be accelerated by sharing experience, information, and ideas to reduce duplication and rapidly achieve the critical mass of knowledge, effort, and results necessary for progress.

The presentation also included the Foundation’s strategies of defining the grea area of clinical benefit of focused ultrasound, supporting research, engaging stakeholders, and creating tools for collaboration across specialties and institutions.
